Installing straight from a web page only works in Safari on the device itself. On a desktop the button does nothing — the link hands off to iOS, and there is no iOS here to catch it.

If it does not install

This build is signed for specific registered devices. On any other iPhone the install fails at the last moment with no useful message. The fix is to add that device to the developer account and cut a new build — nothing on this page will help.

It must be Safari. Chrome and in-app browsers on iOS silently drop the install handoff.

The icon appears greyed out on the home screen while it downloads. Give it a moment before assuming it failed.
